Social Media Backbiting

Times have become a battering ram for competitors to shoot pot shots at each other.   One thing I have noticed on social media especially is the trend to pick up another’s offense.  Using the offense as justification to hold a specific opinion and to state that opinion openly without fear of consequence. After all, freedom of speach…right?

One example is the recent story on the Duggars’ oldest son, Josh.  A family that has been, by many standards, a  blessed and happy family has opened up to something very deep in their lives. Coming clean about something so dark, you would think this would cause a populace to admire the fortitude of the individual for having character to confess. I mean, who in congress, white house, local police departments, schools, or even churches, heck!…your own house, have committed such attrocities but have lied to cover their reputation?  But yet, here we sit with the gavel of judgement on those who would rather be scorned for being truthful than lie.

Just an observation, but if you are picking up an offense that was not directly committef to you, then how are you living in freedom?  How is going along on a wave of lashing or back biting helping you to stand unique and resolute?  How will others see your individual contribution in this worl if all we do is mimic others around us?

Yes, the Duggars have skeletons in the closet.  Yes, they handled it the way they believed best.  No, by any means was it right for those crimes to go undone….yet it was a boy who acted, but a man who confessed.  How many can say the same?  If your skeleton was just as bad, would you have chosen to expose it to light?  Would it change your position on the job?  Maybe make you lose that promotion?  Would your partner walk away from you if he/she knew what you did?  How about your church…would they act differently to you if they only knew what happened?  Would you lose the trust of the one closest to you if they saw your skeleton?

Just questions I ask myself when I am reading a new post or article bashing.  Don’t get me wrong, I do not condone sexual offense of any kind.  It is the worst offense I believe known to man.  Yet even in this we need to steer clear of entanglments that will keep our minds shackled by the rage of others.

Live free of shackles and mimicry.  Contribute something amazing that will lift others and destroy weights of fear.

Live whole…with life…mercy…and…most of all LOVE!

Free To Be Yourself

Most would say that success is a sum of wealth and possessions, maybe some level of fame for hard work done, but to my children I am always saying, “Unless you can achieve just being you, you have not reached success.”

Why would I say this?

The concept is to first conquer yourself, then no one else can conquer you.  It is being able to live in the moment or to act upon an inner drive for production and purpose that will carry you through so many trials and wayward roads on your journey of life.

Most of all…YOU SHOULD NOT FEAR what others think or say of you.  Only your actions can prove them right…or wrong.

Only you can determine what your future will hold.  If fear is not at the core of why you choose specific things, then you have a better chance at getting that promotion, or that raise, or that connection, or to build that relationship.

Bottom line:  Don’t Be Afraid To Be You!

Freedom Within

My son knows that to rule he must first conquer himself; showing his character within as proof he is a free man.  No man, nation, group, or institution can rule over him if he learns to rule his own soul.  Our body is faint, but our souls bear fruit of what is within us. Whether it be right or unjust. If a seven year old can grasp it, why do we have a populace that is growing in ignorance?

Liberty Within Us

Explaining Freedom to a Seven Year Old

Going over one of the many lessons I taught my seven year old son, the one that stuck out the most was about freedom.  Freedom has always been one of those special, but invisible things we took for granted growing up in my generation that loved and sparked the ’90s entertainment and music industry.  What was freedom?  Why was it so important that it took wars and
sacrificed lives to gain it?

For our lesson to explain freedom, I drew three people.  Each smaller than the first.  So a person within a person, within a person.   To begin to explain this illustration I must first explain the true definition of freedom or liberty.

freedom

FREE’DOM, n.

1. A state of exemption from the power or control of another; liberty; exemption from slavery, servitude or confinement. Freedom is personal, civil, political, and religious. [See Liberty.]

2. Particular privileges; franchise; immunity; as the freedom of a city.

3. Power of enjoying franchises.

4. Exemption from fate, necessity, or any constraint in consequence of predetermination or otherwise; as the freedom of the will.

5. Any exemption from constraint or control.

6. Ease or facility of doing any thing. He speaks or acts with freedom.

7. Frankness; boldness. He addressed his audience with freedom.

8. License; improper familiarity; violation of the rules of decorum; with a plural. Beware of what are called innocent freedoms.http://1828.mshaffer.com/d/word/freedom

With the first definition taken from the Webster’s 1828 Dictionary that our Founding Fathers used back in the day, you can see we obtain freedom through four facets: personal, religious, civil, and political.

We must first learn to control our own actions, thoughts, and deeds, which is tied directly to a person’s beliefs.  How someone thinks, so they will be.  What they have believed and transformed into inner knowledge, becomes their actions to the outside world.  So to my seven year old I say,

“Son, there are a lot of people in this world that would like to tell you how to be, how to act, what you can say or not say, or what kind of job you will get based on scoring, but if you learn to control how you react to situations, learn how to control your emotions, learn to build your faith in the only source of Truth this world has ever been privy to, which is Jesus Christ, you will rule cities and nations some day.  Greater is a man who can rule his own soul then one who gains riches and loses his soul.  You, my son, will be a man that rules a city!”

Christ shows us how to set ourselves free from bondage, fear, pride, desires, lusts, and those things that pull us into a life of selfishness.  After all, those that stay in their own bubble eventually push others away and are alone for they only seek after those things that please themselves.  Jesus Christ is the ultimate body of selflessness and sacrifice.  His love sets us free to be who He created us to be.  We don’t have to walk around afraid to be ourselves.  To try something new.  Go for that promotion.  Take a chance on that book.  Start your own business.

Our Founding Fathers knew this to be true.

Without inner freedom we could not

produce from ourselves civil freedom.

Civil Freedom

The way we react to others around us in our local communities and governments depend on how much control we have of our self.  Those with true character that’s been tried and proven will hold fast to their beliefs without wavering.  This type of person creates an atmosphere of freedom for others.  They bring to the table the knowledge that a strong soul bears witness to those freedoms coveted by all.  They will fight for freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom to protect yourself and your family, the freedom to work and earn wages, the freedom to start your own business and enterprise, the freedom to one’s own property of body and that which is legally owned through purchase or trade.  With men and women like this in our civil authorities like police departments, schools, judges, mayors, governors, and business owners, we have a plowed field with seeds watered from those before and fruit that grows up and out….out to the political farm called Government.

Political Freedom

When our men and women who protect our freedoms from within reach the positions of leadership, they branch out to the political arena where those neighbors and friends around them honor them by placing them in these heavily responsible positions.  It was once an honor to have been chosen for your name, that is one that was built on honesty and fairness.  Now with the lack of those who really love freedom in leadership in the political arena, we have a government that is choosing things for us.  Gone are the days we represented the people.  Now those that cheat their way to top, or step on the efforts of another to gain what they desire are the very ones that are in control of your outward freedoms.

But a people who are truly free from the inside out can never be squelched  or silenced.  These are those from whom new days and eras are birthed and nations truly transformed.

So my son knows that to rule means he must first conquer himself and show his character from within to prove he is free.

Whom the Son has set free, is free indeed!

The Falling of America to Fabian Socialism Part-2a Truth Cannot Stay Hidden

Many know by now that multiple issues and facts are now out in the open that were once meant to stay hidden from the public eyes and ears.  The media has become a circus ring to see who can create the best acts and pull in the most audience and get the millions of viewers to their way of thinking; or at least to watch their reports.

I personally, like to keep it real and enjoy when someone is being straight forward with me.

These people were once every where back in the day when your word was your bond.  But since capitalism and industrialism, took its turn to steer us toward a more entertained society in the trap of the “American Dream,” our word quickly became just a balancing act to keep someone happy and our butts out of the fire.  Everything became all about saving your backside more than doing and saying the right thing.  NO wonder our children are such a mess! Look at the generations before them!  Sad, but those who actually still follow the code of ethics and respect are given titles like, “Zealot, Religious Nut, Extremist, or the new one…Domestic Terrorist!”

The Lying Game

When lying became part of the game to climb the corporate ladder, our conscience as a nation took a drastic turn.  Our conscience is the most sacred of all property we will ever possess this side of heaven, and the moment we turn that over to lies, deceit, doubt, corruption, lust, perversion, and things ANTI Creator, our minds are dulled to a stupor where someone who IS paying attention to what you watch, what you listen to, what you buy and what you play with, will have all the information they need to drag you along on their journey of OWNING you.  I wrote an article on hypnotic marketing and the science is there.  It is proven.  The power of persuasion can debilitate a person into doing something they would not ordinarily do.

With this knowledge, I just finished reading the novel Agenda 21 written by Glenn Beck and Harriet Parke.  The erasing of the histories is real and has been transforming our newest generation at an alarming rate.  As a mother I found it difficult to listen to my children ask me what the Mayflower Compact was, or why was George Washington picked as our first president.   They really did not know the significance of the relationship our founding father had with his Creator God, the Almighty! His bond with Christ was what allowed him the individual freedom on the inside that flowed out to civil liberty to those around him.  I was astonished that in the high history classes they portray the Jews as a group of people in need of conquering.  That other philosophers from Greece and Italy can be more quoted than the ministerial addresses given by our own Congress and that are on record in the Library of Congress.

For those that have a heart for Truth and will not settle for the tickling of the ears, I implore you to challenge others around you to dig for the facts.  Look into the scientists behind the product, look into the donor of the charitable organization, search out bills and laws…READ THEM FOR YOURSELF!

Taking the time to WATCH…..LISTEN…..SEARCH….READ….and CONFIRM, will save you from joining on the wrong side of anything.

The Falling of America to Fabian Socialism -Part 1

A Heritage Forgotten

We Americans as a nation were once proud of our founding Fathers and the heritage of the Bible being our textbook of liberty, but now we have been reduced to a people who have allowed the legislation of atheism to creep in and then advance into our schools because we didn’t want the context of the Bible to offend others.  America has forgotten that she was once established as a government upon the principles of Christian liberty that were taken from the Word of God.

The Stirrings of an Agenda

to Neutralize Christianity in America

This process didn’t just happen over a generation, but over many.   An agenda was first widely accepted through the series of Annual Reports to the Massachusetts Board of Education with the writings of Horace Mann in the years 1837-1848.  John Dewey himself gave his endorsement and called him “the father of progressive education.”

Why was this important?

These reports paved the way to a state funded, state directed, and state controlled program of education.  They in turn demanded standardization, structure, specific curriculum, and teacher certification.  This would not have made such a large impact on our nation and civil liberty as a whole if they had not removed the Bible as out textbook for all American citizens.  They then turned away from the inner law of liberty to embrace the psychological atheism to state that “man” was good and society was “bad.”  By saying this, they are suggesting that it is the outward stimuli that causes someone to do bad, instead of an individual’s own inner character being flawed.  By their own lusts and enticements they act out through anger, fear, greed, or lack of integrity, but instead of taking ownership for their actions, they can now blame it on the “environment around them.”

Many ministers during the time Horace Mann was proposing his writings were aware of his drive to see America begin to neutralize Christianity.  Because of their lack of initiative, the previous goal of building solid Christian character and conscience was easily replaced for the building of humanitarians with benevolent inclinations towards mankind.

And for those individuals who wished the schools to teach a patriotism which indicated how great was “the faith of our fathers” there was substituted a bland form of non-controversial democracy and “citizenship in the state.”  Thus the public school was able to accomplish that which the hired European mercenaries of England never could–namely to separate our patriotism from our Christian conviction. (Teaching and Learning America’s Christian History by Rosalie Slater)

Threat of Control

This threat of “control” was already staring many Americans in the face so many years ago.  It was also recorded by Reverend Matthew Hale Smith who challenged Horace Mann and was then rewarded with labels of extremism,

“The principles of piety, as you illustrate and enforce them, exclude all that treats of human depravity–salvation by the blood of Jesus Christ–the atonement and the sanctions to a good life, drawn from the world to come.  All these common truths, held by nine-tenths of all in this State, who profess any form of Christian faith, are ruled out of schools by the high authority of the Secretary of the Board of Education; they are declared to be sectarian and unconstitutional.  You have settled by the authority of the Board, or without that authority, what Piety is, according to the statute.  Your influence is derived from the Legislature; through you, the people are told what they must receive and be satisfied with, as a construction of the Constitution.  All towns must hear–all districts obey, else incure the penalty of forfeiture of their portion of the school money.”
The fact of America’s establishment as a Christian nation–“reserved by God”–as the early historians indicated–can be richly documented in the work of Miss Verna M. Hall, compiler of Christian History of the Constitution.  Returning to “original” sources of the Journals of Congress, the Journals of the Colonies, governmental proclamations, diplomatic correspondence, letters, speeches, sermons, newspapers of the times, a veritable “treasure house” of evidence has been uncovered.
…For one hundred and fifty years and more…we maintained our Christian character as a nation.  Then began our period of “falling away” when we worshipped the “effect” of our great success–and forgot the “cause.”  Teaching and Learning America’s Christian History by Rosalie Slater

We then filled this vast emptiness with philosophies of man that replaced the battles of our conscience with the social struggles around us, in our economy, and our politics.

Our national chant was no longer filled with salvation or the principles of character that created the patriotism in the hearts of so many men and women.  Our voices rang out for more superficial issues of the progress and society.  We…America…became the teenager that turned her back on her Creator.  And rebellion ran deep and rampant throughout our borders.  Beyond State boundaries, beyond economical boundaries, beyond our ties with other countries…we ran head first into the Agenda of the Socialists.  And America fell…divided.

Please stay tuned for Part 2 as I engage the reality of this Agenda in which several presidents of the United States were privy to, and through their terms in office, helped further the cause to a more “controlled” society that will leave us vulnerable to outside forces…or worse…turn against ourselves.

Who Were the Covenanters of America?

Have you ever wondered what ever fueled the American Revolutionists to band together against all odds, faiths, and political backing?

Where did American Heroism come from?

From where did these courageous people rise and share their passion for freedom?

How did they accomplish such exploits and acts of devout loyalty?

covenant COVENANT, n. [L, to come; a coming together; a meeting or agreement of minds. ]1. A mutual consent or agreement of two or more persons, to do or to forbear

covenanter COVENANTER, n. He who makes a covenant.
courage COURAGE, n. [L. , the heart. ] Bravery; intrepidity; that quality of mind which enables men to encounter danger and difficulties with firmness, or without

plymoth rock

Our nation’s Library of Congress holds a treasure trove of answers to such as these, and quite frankly the long literary trail of evidence that cements the truth will probably be of great shock to the masses of this New America everyone is seeing portrayed.  In the great halls of this wonderful landmark and historical documentation, Truth cannot stay hidden no matter how hard political parties have spent countless “re-writing” of said manuscripts through their own speeches and interpretations.  Woe to any political side who chooses to side against Truth!

Every citizen of the original American populace had come from a distinct group of people. Some from the Calvanists, some from the French Huguenots, and even those from the Dutch, who established and gave us the American primitive New York.  These are the true covenanters of America.  Those that upon arrival pledged their lives, their possessions, and wealth to join together for the common good of all mankind.

How could such a thing be?  How could the joining of such seemingly opposite parties come the joining and be the foundation of the spreading of the seed bed for civil liberty?

“…The Covenanters were here before the American Republic, and they held the principles of the American Revolution long before the American Revolution was inaugurated.  Bancroft tells us that two years before the American Declaration of Independence was issued in Philadelphia, 1776, the Covenanters in Mecklenburg, N.C., in 1774 issued the Mecklenburg declaration, and it contained the very same principles which are in the Philadelphia Declaration.

“…All honor to the Covenanters of America. When the Revolutionary War was declared that old church almost to a man fell into rank, and the report of the Covenanter’s rifle was heard in the very forefront of the battle.

“But why single these men out?  To show that wherever there were true Christians there were true warriors for American liberty.  Through Christian men and women of all races the gospel worked itself into our civil life.  The Pilgrims of Massachusetts, the Covenanters of the Carolinas, the Huguenots of New Jersey, the Hollanders of New York, the Episcopalians of Virginia, all were loyal.  The story of their loyalty to country and of their sacrifice for country is one.”

“The type of men who built the nation in the past, and the principles with which they built, are the men and the principles which alone can develop and preserve the nation.”

~David Gregg, D.D., Makers of the American Republic as stated in Teaching and Learning America’s Christian History by Rosalie J. Slater, 1965.

We as a nation without a doubt need Christ, His Truth, and the men of Christ who exemplify the nature of true civil liberty that is found in no other place on earth, but in the beating breast of man or woman that follows Christ.

Now when I speak of Christian, or Christ, or Christianity I am not talking about the western version of this faith that has slid down in the pits of compromise, wickedness, and hypocrisy.  I am talking about those men and women who literally live and breathe what they believe, and constitute their own lives and families after Christ Himself.  They are the true deliverers of courage that birth herosim.  There are many stories and testimonies even today of many American soldiers giving God the Father praise for HIs merciful hand in the midst of battle.  Even from those American soldiers who once denied His very existence.

True courage is birthed in the face of opposition and fear.  But courage itself is centered on a higher power that you alone could never attain, but that of the grace that has been so freely given us by God Himself.

Please leave your comments below…I would love to hear from you! Join the fight now to not stay in ignorance of our history anymore!  Stand for Truth no matter where it leads you, and do not be afraid to admit where its origins began.  In Christ!

“For God has allowed us to know the secret of His plan, and it is this: He purposed long ago that all human history shall be consumated in Christ.” Ephesians 1:9-10
